Certified CrossFit Trainer (Level 3)
CPR/AED
Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition & Fitness Masters & Ph.D. in Health Education
I was an athlete throughout my teens and college years. I stumbled into CrossFit after overhearing that the methodology could be used to train for a marathon in place of excessive running. CrossFit provides a way to express my athletic side while maintaining my health and wellness. I also found CrossFit’s practical applications and universal utility to be a perfect match for my professional goal of helping people live independently and joyfully through physical activity, recreation, sport, and HEALTH for a lifetime. I have been coaching and personal training now for 15 years. My coaching experiences include gymnastics, track and field (several all-state athletes), CrossFit, and Mastery (age 65+ athletes), as well as personal training experience for athletes ranging from 8-75+. I continue to enjoy the challenge of connecting my academic background in health education (MEd., Ph.D.), sports psychology, nutrition, and fitness (B.S.) with the goals and motivation of a wide variety of athletes.
