CrossFit provides the opportunity for young athletes to build confidence, become a part of a fitness social community, and begin laying the foundation for lifetime fitness beyond sports. Here at CrossFit Verus, we want to help be a part of your young athlete's fitness development. As pre-teen and teen bodies begin to change, this type of training is essential for injury prevention and proper muscular movement as they age. Simply put, strength training is an essential part of your athletes’ athletic journey and should be prioritized as such.
Our teen program workouts are structured with a strength component (squats, cleans, bench, etc), to create power and explosion, followed by a WOD (workout of the day) to further work supplementary muscle groups and develop metabolic conditioning capacity. Essentially, we use the Sport of Fitness (CrossFit) to condition our athletes for their traditional sport(s) or to lay a foundation for lifetime fitness. We know how important the teenage years are for starting and continuing CONSISTENT strength and conditioning training. This is to not only gain power, explosion, and flexibility, but to also help provide stability to athletes’ growing bodies. To accommodate busy schedules, we offer our training classes multiple times per week, with occasional coach-led open gyms. We want to make it easier for families with varying schedules to attend at least two workouts per week. We believe our programming, trained coaches, and organized classes will provide cost effective and maximized value for families.
